The Canajoharie Library and Arkell Museum is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Customer Service Clerk. Customer Service Clerks are the first line of service for the institution staffing both the library circulation and museum admissions desk. Examples of illustrative duties include: checking in/out library materials, selling museum memberships, admission and gift shop items, shelving books, assisting patrons with computer troubleshooting, and answering questions from library and museum users. Candidate should have intermediate to advanced computer and technology skills and a positive customer service attitude. An interest in libraries and art is highly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is necessary. This position requires working some days, evenings and at least two weekends a month for an average of 20 hours per week.
