St. John's and St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Canajoharie, NY

St. John's and St. Marks's Lutheran Church

In the 1800s, the community had two Lutheran Churches. Although neither church was large, services were conducted in different languages (English and German) until about 1900. As fewer local residents spoke German, even at church, the two churches merged, and in recent years, the German church has been used as a doctor's office.
