Bull's Head Inn, 2 Park Place, Cobleskill, NY

Bull's Head Inn

The inn is the oldest building in the Village of Cobleskill. It was built in 1802 on the site of three log cabins which were destroyed during the French & Indian Wars. Its location is crucial to the village's history, since it is on the Loonenbergh Turnpike, next to the village's Center Park, adjacent to Main Street and bordering the historic district. During its early days, it served as Town Hall and meeting place. It still has its original posts and beams, and has served as an Inn since 1966 when it again became "Bull's Head Inn".
