Cobleskill Sunshine Fairgrounds, South Grand Street, Cobleskill, NY

Cobleskill Sunshine Fairgrounds

The Fairground of roughly 20 acres serves as the entrance to the Village on the North. It was begun in 1876 when tents were used to house displays. The Gateway itself was built in 1883. Now, the Fairground consists of 28 buildings that house farm animals and home crafts, mid-way rides and food concession stands. The Grandstand serves as a landmark for the town. The Sunshine Fair is a county-wide event that everyone participates in, either to compete, to work, or to just plain have fun!
