Bank of Richmondville, 5 East Main Street, Richmondville, NY

Bank of Richmondville

In 1881, the Honorable John Westover and James Foster began a private bank in Richmondville named Westover and Foster, Private Bankers. At the time, Mr. Westover owned half of the town and needed a place in which to conduct banking business. This bank was where the current Post Office is now located. The Bank of Richmondville now has branches in the neighboring towns of Cobleskill and Schoharie.
