Little Red Schoolhouse, Fonda/Fultonville, NY

Schoolhouse

It was built before 1870. It was moved to Old Trail Road in June, 1973. It stood without a roof until 1974. The bell came from the town of Glen Schoolhouse. All the furnishings came from different schoolhouses. In 1978 the main beam broke. Before the beam could be repaired the whole roof needed to be ripped out. It was finished and opened at an Open House in 1985.
