Starin Estate, Fonda/Fultonville, NY

Starin Estate

The main house in the Starin Estate was finished in 1877. The rest was built later. John H. Starin was fond of animals. He had buffaloes, llamas, cows, pig, sheeps, dogs, and horses. For the horses was a race track. He also had a lot of greenhouses and gardeners to tend the gardens. Now they are trying to re-create it. The name is pronounced star-in not stare-in.
