Fireman's Home, Fort Plain, NY

The Fireman's Home was a canal store when the Erie Canal flowed through town. It was built by Nathaniel Lipe who was a canal supplier. It was later given to the Fort Plain firemen to be used as a Fireman's Home. The bell in front was rung when the Fritcher Opera House and Union Hotel burned.
