Fort Plain Museum, Fort Plain, NY

Fort Plain Museum

The Fort Plain Museum was a home built by David Lipe in 1848. It was built on a Revolutionary War site. The original fort was built in 1776. Fort Plain became the headquarters of western defense in 1781. Currently at the museum there are many exhibits about local history, including a lot of Indian artifacts.
