One of the interesting patients he had was Christy Matheson, the great baseball pitcher, who was in the Hall of Fame and was one of the first five inducted into the Hall of Fame in the 1930's. He was in a car accident right near here and he and some other people came in, or were brought in, to Doc. This would have been, oh, 1920 or so probably. They were on their way to Cooperstown to play a game. It may have been an Old Timers Game. Kristy Matheson probably was retired just about that time, having started around 1900.
