Schoharie, NY

The Schoharie Free Library

This house was built in 1866 by local merchant Jacob Meirs. In 1963, it was purchased by the Schoharie Free Library Association and remodeled to house books. Today with 17,000 volumes, it is bursting at the seams and 2001 will see the start of an addition on the back as well as interior renovations.
