Company. *Grateful acknowledgement is made to The Noteworthy Company for
permission to display Kateri Tekawitha by James Steele. Kateri Tekawathia was a Mohawk maiden who lived at Ossernenon (Auriesville), was baptized into the Catholic faith. Lived an exemplary life, was called The Lily of the Mohawk. She died at a very early age of small pox and is at present being considered for sainthood by Pope John Paul II. |
