Apostleship Prayer, 1926. 120P. 19 cm. A wonderful connective narrative of the three periods in the career of Jesuit Isaac Jorques (1607 - 1646) among the Mohawks and Iroquois. It includes a short account of his two companions Father Gaupiel (1602 - 1642) and Father Lalands (? - 1646) who were both with him at Ossernenon (Auriesville) now known as The Shrine of the North Cemereian Martyrs where they died. This Shrine is now a lovely sanctuary thousands visit each year. |
