x 120.7 cm. 1953. Richard Gibney was a local art teacher, commercial artist and curator of the Canajoharie Museum at about this time. He left the area to work for General Electric in 1954 and was later hired by a New England firm near Boston. This painting was featured in Beech-Nut Baby Food Ads in the early to mid 1950s. Notice the number of women working in this plant at that time. |
