The Frothingham Free Library has been serving the town of Mohawk and Glen since 1943. The present building was built in 1975. The Local History Collection at the Frothingham Free Library contains materials relating to the Fonda and Fultonville area of the Mohawk Valley. Books, maps, artifacts, portraits, memorabilia and postcards are included in this collection. Many of these items are on permanent display in the adult section of the library; others may be viewed by appointment. A larger and more complete Local History Collection may be found two blocks away at the Montgomery County Department of History and Archives. |
