Biography of a Glove, tells the story of how leather, cloth and yarn are transformed into a finished glove. Using text and illustrations, each and every process is examined, including varieties of leather, tanning methods, table cutting and laying off. Fabric and knit gloves are treated with equal importance, beginning with the conversion of fleece into wool or worsted yarn, the intricacies of the knitting machines, and finally the finished product.
