Currier and Ives produced several railroad prints which were both accurate and exciting to the American people who were seeing this new form of transportation for the first time. Some prints were used as advertisements for the railroads. The Gloversville Free Library has a collection of original Currier and Ives prints, framed and displayed. This collection is open to the public during the library's regularly scheduled hours.
