This pair of heavily encrusted beaded handbags are representative of turn of the century style. The bag on the left is fashioned in a pouch style with a substantial zipper closing across the top. The purse measures 15 x 14cm and is silk lined.

The floral beaded bag measures 16.5 x 14.6cm. Its somewhat tapered shape is finished with a metal clasp closure and chain. Like the street scene bag, it too is lined in olive silk.

The hair comb is tortoise shell topped by silver plate. The traditional hatpin is also topped by a ball of silver plate.
