of leading citizens are presented in this 1899 volume. Frank Straub
was active in Middleburgh’s progress, involved in the formation
of the Fire Department, the Water Company, the mapping of the village
and the establishment of the telephone and telegraph line. We have
4 volumes of Cuyler Reynold’s Hudson and Mohawk Valleys Genealogical
and Family Memoirs. There are biographical sketches in Roscoe’s
History of Schoharie County. Listings of citizens and their occupations
are published in French’s 1860 Gazetteer of the State of New York,
also Child’s Gazetteer of 1872 and Danforth’s 1899 Schoharie
