Downstairs Fireplace. There are two fireplaces in the Victorian structure which houses the Schoharie Free Library. This photograph is of the one in the Main Front Room. The upper portion of the second floor fireplace may been seen in the photograph of Henry Beers. The fireplaces are original to the 1866 house. The facings are of black Italian marble inlaid with gray and brown marble and gold trim. The ornate heavy black metal inserts are removable. |
