Directions to the Mohawk Valley Library System

We're on Rt 7 in Rotterdam (Duanesburg Rd. is Rt 7) right near exit 25A of the Thruway.

Via I-88/From West

- Exit I-88 at last exit prior to entrance to NYS Thruway Exit 25A.

- Go up exit ramp, turn right to traffic light.

- Turn left onto Route 7, (Duanesburg Road).

- MVLS is located approximately 200 yds on left.
(If you pass the light at Stoney Acres Garden Center and Schalmont High School, you’ve gone too far.)

Via Northway/Thruway:

- From the New York State Thruway (I-90), take exit 25A (same exit as I-88).

- After paying toll, immediately exit to the right. Turn left at the stop sign. The road will cross I-88.

- Proceed to traffic light and turn left onto Route 7 (Duanesburg Road).

- MVLS is located approximately 200 yds on left.
(If you pass the light at Stoney Acres Garden Center and Schalmont High School, you’ve gone too far.)

Via Rt. 50:

- Proceed south into Scotia, where Rt. 50 will end at Rt 5.

- Turn Left onto Rt. 5, proceed south over the river, get to right-lane, and turn right at the Community College (light).

- Go past the college and parking lots, bear right onto 890 West; merge (stay right)

- Go short way past GE and take the Campbell Rd. exit (Rt. 337)

- Follow 337 past Rotterdam Mall, up small hill under RR tracks

- Turn right at Mobil station (traffic light-still Rt. 337), drive past gravel pit, over RR tracks, to its end at Rt 7.

- Turn Right onto Rt. 7, proceed over Thruway, past Schalmont High School (light)

- We're just past Stoney Acres Florist, on the right.

- If you get to the entrance to 1-88, you've gone too far.

Via Rt. 50. bypassing Scotia:

- Proceed south past Schenectady County Airport, then take left fork onto Freeman's Bridge Rd (airport will be on your left, Salisbury Chevrolet ahead on right) - proceed over the river, when you'll be on Erie Blvd.

- Follow Erie Blvd. Straight south towards GE

- Take right ramp for 890 West, following signs to merge – stay right (river on your right)

- Go short way past GE and take the Campbell Rd. exit (Rt. 337)

- Follow 337 past Rotterdam Mall, up small hill under RR tracks

- Turn right at Mobil station (traffic light-still Rt. 337), drive past gravel pit, over RR tracks, to its end at Rt 7.

- Turn Right onto Rt. 7, proceed over Thruway, past Schalmont High School (light)

- We're just past Stoney Acres Florist, on the right.
