WebJunction and the Sustainable Libraries Initiative (SLI) are teaming up to support libraries in creating a more sustainable future! Starting this summer, WebJunction and the SLI are collaborating to offer a set of resources and webinars to support libraries as they address the greatest threat to global health and the grandest challenge of our time: climate change.

The first in the series, this webinar will introduce characteristics of a sustainable library. tart here for an overview of our profession’s newest core value, Sustainability, as adopted by the American Library Association in 2019. Identify the four characteristics of a sustainable library and learn how the triple bottom line definition of sustainability can be used to adapt library operations, service and program design, and partnerships in our community, to respond to the impacts of climate change. This webinar will focus on introductory concepts that will set the stage for the other offerings in this series.

You can register for additional webinars in this series now if you wish.
