The Trustees of the
New York Newspapers Foundation are seeking applications for funding of literacy development projects, with emphasis on programs assisting non-English speakers and functionally illiterate adults. Recent grants have supported community-wide reading projects, parent-child reading programs and library projects designed to help recent immigrants to develop reading skills.
Organizations wishing to apply for grants from the association and whose work is in keeping with its goals, are encouraged to supply a brief statement describing their work and a project budget to: Diane Kennedy, NewYork Newspapers Foundation, 291 Hudson Ave., Suite A, Albany, NY 12210.
