The Canajoharie Library is seeking applicants for a part-time library customer service clerk. This position requires working both weekdays (9:45 AM – 5:00 PM), and weekend days (11:45 AM – 5:00 PM) for an average of about 20 hours per week. Qualified candidate must be willing to submit to a background check. The Canajoharie Library is an equal opportunity employer.
Duties and Responsibilities include: Circulation services checking Library materials in and out; shelving materials; providing customer support; collecting fines; assist patrons with copier; answer telephone; and assist museum desk staff if needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma and one year of customer service related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Applicants should have good working knowledge of computers and have an excellent customer service attitude.
