Free Webinar – The New Safety : Factoring the CDC’s 5/13 Guidance and NY’s Changing Mandates Into the Mix at Your Library

Date: Friday, May 21, 2021
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Place: Online at
Presenter: Stephanie ‘Cole’ Adams
Cost: Free for ESLN Members

The CDC’s new guidance, and New York’s response, is creating questions for libraries. Can masks still be required on library property? Does your board have to approve changes to your safety plan? What about employees that aren’t vaccinated? How does this impact contact tracing? Does what’s required change if you’re in a government-provided space? What are the implications for privacy?

Join PULISDO on Friday, May 21 at 1PM for a discussion with regional council “Ask The Lawyer” service attorney Stephanie “Cole” Adams and her team. Open to library employees and trustees, we’ll review the updated requirements, discuss your questions sent in advance, and open the chat line for discussion.

Free to ESLN Members. Registration is required. Please note that this webinar will be recorded, and the recording will be sent to all registrants regardless of attendance.

Can’t attend? We’ll send out a post-session summary including language for your board to approve an update of your Safety Plan. But since this session and the summary materials will be all the better for experience-informed of questions, please consider participating and/or send your questions in advance via the registration form.
