The Board of Trustees of Huntington Memorial Library seeks a creative and energetic library director with strong leadership ability to provide quality library service to Oneonta residents and the surrounding communities. The library is chartered to serve the City of Oneonta, population 14,000, and also has many card holders from communities in Otsego and Delaware counties. The Director works closely with the library Board of 5 members. Duties include overseeing a staff of 12 to carry out the library’s mission, managing the 15,000 sq. ft. facility and surrounding 5-acre park, administering the budget of $1,059,879 for 2025, presenting funding requests, writing grants, fundraising, overseeing a library renovation project, developing programs and services, maintaining computers, working with the Friends of the Library, collection ordering and deaccessioning, etc.
Salary range – $63,000 – $70,000 depending on qualifications, plus benefits.
